Now TV set to increase Entertainment pass price
The cost of Now TV's 'Entertainment' pass is to increase by £1 a month – but you may be able to beat the rise.
Sky, which runs the Now TV streaming service, has confirmed the price of the Entertainment pass, which gives you access to channels such as Sky Atlantic, MTV and the Discovery Channel, is to jump from £7.99/month to £8.99/month.
The rise takes effect from Wednesday 9 October. If you've got a fixed-term Entertainment pass or bundle offer, the price rise won't take effect until after your promotional period ends.
With Now TV, you pay for Sky content such as entertainment, films and sport to watch live or on demand.
See our Watch Movies & TV Online and Digital TV Deals guides for more ways to save.
Check if you can beat the rise
You can often pick up discounted Now TV passes on their own or as part of a bundle from other retailers – even if you've already previously bought and used passes. When we checked today, we found a two-month pass for £10 online at Currys.
If you have a rolling contract, you could also try cancelling it, as some customers have reported immediately being offered a discount to entice them to stay. Alternatively, you can try haggling via Now TV's online chat.
What does Now TV say?
