Chancellor to deliver major economic statement

The Government has already trailed the announcement of a new scheme offering vouchers of up to £5,000 (or £10,000 for those on the lowest incomes) to be used by homeowners on energy efficient home improvements. We're expecting the Chancellor to announce details on that later today.
