M&S Bank will close all of its current accounts on 31 August 2021, in a shock move that also resulted in it shutting all 29 of its in-store bank branches on 2 July. But credit card, loans and insurance customers aren't affected – we've full info on what's changing and what you need to do below.

Motorists paying for fuel at many self-service pumps face having up to £100 on their debit or credit card temporarily "reserved" while they fill up, to make sure they can afford the petrol or diesel. While people will naturally spend some of that £100, many report waiting days for the unspent portion to be returned, which could leave them struggling to pay for bills in the meantime.

A new, greener type of unleaded petrol called E10 is being rolled out across forecourts in England, Scotland and Wales by 1 September under Government plans. But 600,000 older vehicles aren't compatible with it so will need to use pricier fuel, and even if your vehicle can take it, you may have to fill up more often because it's less efficient.
