If you took a South West train out of London between 1 October 2015 and 20 August 2017, and held a Transport for London (TfL) Travelcard at the time, you may have been overcharged and you can claim compensation. But you'll need to be quick as the deadline for claims is this Friday (10 January).

Women who say they weren't given fair notice about a rise in State Pension age will NOT receive compensation, Work and Pensions Secretary Liz Kendall has confirmed today (17 December). The decision, which will leave many disappointed, goes against recommendations from the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) to make payouts.

Nearly 2.5 million Premium Bond prizes worth a combined £92 million remain unclaimed, according to the latest figures. Most bondholders now get prizes paid automatically, though this may not be the case if you have older bonds. Plus, prizes paid by cheque may be unclaimed if you haven't kept your address up to date or simply forgot to cash them in.
