The holidays are over, the schools are back. But if you've recently returned, some simple checks could save you £100s. Here's my post-holiday checklist (and if you've got the back-to-work blues, some will help you next year too).

Passengers have won against Ryanair, after a judge today ruled in a test case that they are entitled to claim compensation for flight disruption, which happened more than two years ago.

Jet2 and Wizz Air passengers should ask to have flight delay and cancellation compensation claims reassessed, after the airlines have promised to improve how they deal with complaints following pressure from the regulator.

Passengers have today taken Ryanair to court for tying to wriggle out of paying compensation for flight delays that happened more than two years ago. If a decision goes in their favour, it may make it easier for others to claim too.

Ryanair tried to seat a three-year-old away from her horrified parents on a flight from Portugal to Liverpool. The budget airline is one of at least five that operates a 'family tax', where the only way to guarantee parents and their children are seated together is to pay for allocated seating.
