Travellers returning to England and Northern Ireland from Portugal (though not including the Azores and Madeira), Hungary, French Polynesia and Réunion will need to self-isolate for 14 days if they return after 4am on Saturday. In addition, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office is now advising against all but essential travel to all four destinations.

Travellers returning to England or Northern Ireland from seven Greek islands will have to self-isolate for 14 days from 4am on Wednesday 9 September. The announcement comes as Transport Secretary Grant Shapps unveiled a new 'islands policy', which will mean islands can be added to or removed from England's travel corridor list separately to countries as a whole.

Travellers returning to Wales from Portugal and six Greek islands will need to self-isolate for 14 days if they return after 4am on Friday. And the Scottish Government has followed suit by adding Portugal to its quarantine list, meaning all travellers returning to Scotland from there after 4am on Saturday will also need to self-isolate.
