Ben is Editor of MSE's famous, free Money Tips email, sent weekly to more than nine million subscribers. It covers all things MoneySaving – from deals, shopping and household bills, to banking, savings and debt. He joined MoneySavingExpert.com in 2021 as Money Features Assistant Editor, specialising in mortgages, benefits, pensions and student finance.

Ben has more than a decade of journalism experience, having also worked as a Senior Print and Digital Journalist for Which?, and as a Senior Writer for consumer market intelligence company Key Note. In that time, he has written about a huge array of consumer topics, including travel rights and insurance, food and drink, household services and products, and personal finance.

Ben won Campaign of the Year 2018 at the British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) Talent Awards for his work exposing the fire risk posed by domestic white goods. He also won Scoop of the Year 2020 at the Business Travel Journalism Awards (BTJAs) for being the first to reveal that all ten of the UK's biggest airlines and holiday providers were breaking the law on refunds for bookings cancelled due to Covid-19.

Ben grew up in Sheffield and went to university in Manchester, before moving to London in 2012 where he still lives with his wife. He is a keen cook and likes football, rugby and reading.

Both problems are due to misleading info on Gov.uk about the support.
