Matt Finn

Content Writer

Matt is MSE's resident content handyman – or Content Writer to use his official title.

MSE is a massive website featuring lots of long-lived articles, many of which need a new lick of paint. This is where Matt comes in, optimising MSE content for readers and search engines alike. He often gives newer pieces – including the site's flagship guides – some love too.

Another big part of his role is being a spare pair of hands, filling content gaps with new guides that drive traffic to the site and inform readers. Matt has written about all sorts of subjects at MSE, but he mainly focuses on insurance and loans.

Matt's background is in digital marketing – namely in the search engine optimisation (SEO) sphere – and improving the visibility of websites on Google. Throughout his career, Matt has helped many pages from many sites reach the top of the search engine tree, and this is something he has regularly replicated at MSE.

His writing isn't purely about targeting keywords and the like. Alongside offering comprehensiveness and clarity, Matt likes to inject personality (where appropriate) and cadence into his content to make it informative AND engaging for the reader.

Outside of work, Matt is a self-confessed football addict – he loves playing, watching and writing about the beautiful game. He has played 11- and 5-a-side football for much of his life, is a Manchester United fan from London (classic) and has had pieces published on everything from the Red Devils to FIFA (the video game!).

Aside from indulging in his love of football, Matt likes to explore new places, go down YouTube rabbit holes and read in his spare time.
