Watch out for a special second email later this week!

Don't pay to reclaim bank charges.  The campaign to get people to Reclaim Unlawful Bank Charges is the biggest consumer revolution for years. Yet it's in danger of being hijacked by commercial claim handling vultures, who are now dominating Google with ‘no-win, no-fee' ads. To combat this, I've designed a special e-mail to spread the word that you can challenge the banks for free, both here and elsewhere (mini-mutterings).

When you get it please help spread the word

URGENT. Last sub-5% rates disappearing this week after interest rate rise. Act now
Last week's 0.25% interest rate rise means variable and discount mortgage rate holders will pay roughly £20 a month more per £100,000 outstanding.  Plus the best deals are disappearing as some mortgages are sold in tranches. This means a company will offer e.g. £100 million of mortgages at a set rate, then once thats gone do a new offer. The last pre-rate rise mortgages deals are disappearing super-quick. So if possible, act now. More info on mortgage cost-cutting in the Remortgage Guide: Instant PDF download, Order a free printed version, Read more and Mortgage Guide: PDF, Printed, Read More

Great 'Slash the cost of Dry-Cleaning' Hunt
Dry-cleaning can be an expensive business, but it's possible to cut the cost without losing the service. Tesco clubcard users, for example, can exchange points for a dry-cleaning voucher worth four times its point value using the clubcard deals scheme. Furthermore, depending on the garment, some people wash without problems anyway. So, this week, I'd like to tap MoneySavers' knowledge for other cunning ways to slash the cost of dry cleaning.  Add your ideas/read others Past Great Hunts: Tips To Cut Postage Costs, Online Courses and Cheap Dates

Saving rates soar, but hold before you switch. Base Rate Special
The base rate rise has seen banks improve their own offerings, with rates shooting up to 5.7%. Yet more changes are inevitable, as the market's in total flux.  If you're already in a decent, if not table-topping account, I'd hold before switching. MONEY MORAL DILEMMA: Should Jack make free cash from his employer?
Jack works as an event planner. As part of his job, he often has to make purchases and already does it via a cashback card, so he gains before he claims back.   Now he's realised that often he could buy the same things at the same price, through web cashback sites too (see Cashback sites article for details) earning even more back.  Should he claim the cashback points for himself, since his employer won't be losing anything, or would this be cheating it?
