We've dished out 'awards' to six savvy MoneySavers who've made £1,000s by stoozing – the art of manipulating 0% credit card deals for profit. They've shared their success stories below. Plus, if you're debt-free and financially disciplined, we explain how you can do the same.

We covered stoozing in detail in our weekly email a few weeks ago, setting out exactly how it works and outlining our five golden safety rules:

'We have £45,000 stoozing away': How six stoozers stack up

After reading the note in our email, several MoneySavers got in touch to share their wins – from a VERY long-time stoozer, to the coolest of them all.

Of course, these aren't real awards; it's just a bit of fun financial inspiration. Think you've got our winners beat? Let us know.

The 'Coolest Stoozer' award goes to...

Robin, 59, a civil servant from Kent: "I learned from Martin in the early days. We currently have some £45,000 stoozing away nicely and make about £1,800 per year off it in Cash ISAs. I just got another £13,000 0% transfer card so it'll build to £58,000 by Christmas! You've got to be 'on it' but all the monthly minimum payments are automatic by Direct Debit.

"There's only one drawback – my credit rating is starting to tail off a bit. The agencies don't appear to be able to 'see' the ISAs, and it looks like I have several maxed-out cards (which I do, of course, but I have the funds to repay instantly if ever needed)."

And the award for 'Best Stoozing Comeback' goes to...

Jonny Whittle, 37, a delivery driver from St Helens: "Stoozing is making me a decent chunk of money at the moment! I've managed to push the debt up to £30,000 and just opened another £5,000 spending card.

"All the money is in the bank, a big chunk in an ISA to avoid any tax on the interest, then I'm using regular savers with different banks to maximise the profit.

"I did this years ago before interest rates plummeted, completely forgot about it when they came back up. I'm on it again now but I'm running out of companies to open cards with!"

For his 'Breakout Stoozing Performance', our winner is...

Neil, 39, a GP practice manager from Edinburgh: "I've been reading the weekly emails for years now and it's helped me out a lot. Once I got on top of everything, I started looking at stoozing 18 months ago.

"I started slow and then got my wife involved and we have a pot of about £40,000 on the go, with various savings and stocks and shares ISAs, and about six regular saver accounts to maximise the returns.

"I've now reached the stage where I can think about overpaying the mortgage thanks to MSE as the interest not in the ISAs might start hitting the tax thresholds! A good problem to have. We've also made £800 this year alone on bank switches so far. Thanks Martin and Team!"

Winning the 'Lifetime Stoozing Achievement Award' for over 20 years stoozing...

Kevin, 64, a retired architect and author from Braintree: "I've been stoozing probably since around 2006. I can't tell you how much interest I earned – quite a lot.

"But what I can tell you (or rather my mortgage statement can tell you) is that I've saved around £49,000 of interest on my offset mortgage by using free (or largely free) credit card deals since 2013." [MSE: An offset mortgage links your mortgage to your savings held with the same bank, so the more you have saved, the less interest you pay on your mortgage.]

The award for 'Most Disciplined Stoozer' goes to...

Fred, 83, retired from Dundee: "I have been stoozing for several years, since long before I had heard the word. I haven't kept a record of the interest I have made but it is definitely in excess of £2,000. I currently have £11,676 in my pot from four cards.

"It has been a lot higher but I'm trying to keep each card below 50% so that my credit score will allow me to apply for more cards.

"I have also switched current accounts six times in the last three years earning me £1,050. I had switched at least once before that but didn't keep a record. Thanks for all your advice."

And finally, MSE's 'Most Dedicated Stoozer' is...

John, 75, a retired underwriter from Liverpool: "I remember those days of Egg credit cards. Around that time, I had my full mortgage of £115,000 on credit cards at 0%.

"I think my mortgage rate was about 13.5% at that point. Staff in the office thought I was mad. I have used this for several years. I've done very well over the years, all tax-free.

"Now I'm retired I've more time to work on this system. At present, my wife and I have £61,500 at 0% on various credit cards."
