Comic Relief £8,700! To celebrate 1,000,000 people getting this e-mail, last week I pledged 50p to Comic Relief for each new recipient until last Saturday. At that point I hadn't realised I'd be on telly so much over the week! Thus the total was much bigger than I'd expected, a massive 15,000+ people, still it means a huge £7,700 has gone to Comic Relief, plus the signed England shirt auction raised over £1,000 (see Charity Fund details). Thanks to all who spread the word.
Don't stop telling people though. This site relies on word of mouth. The site's ethical financial stance means there's no big advertising budget like the fully commercial money sites seem to have. URGENT! New Massive Market Leading Cash ISA 6.5% instant access If you've got savings and haven't used this year's ISA allowance, hurry! The tax year ends 5 April and if you don't use it, you lose it. A cash ISA is effectively a savings account for up to £3,000 a year where the interest isn't taxed; a big bonus. This week Barclays launched its Tax Beater cash-ISA paying a huge 6.5% AER, smacking the pants off my prior 5.8% top pick. The interest includes an additional 1% for the first year, yet it's likely to be quite competitive even afterwards, and if not you can transfer out to another ISA. Nice to see a big bank coming up with the goods. Full info in the Updated Article: Top Cash ISA (mini-mutterings) Related Articles: Top Savings Accounts, ISA Guide
