Tesco Bank customers have been left unable to access their mobile or internet banking this afternoon - the second outage in six weeks.

UPDATE: As of 6pm on Wednesday 11 July, this issue is now resolved.

Scores of Tesco Bank customers posted on social media on Wednesday afternoon to say they haven't been able to access their accounts online or on their phones.

In a statement issued at 4.30pm on Wednesday, a Tesco Bank spokesperson said: “We apologise that our online and mobile banking services are currently unavailable. Customers can contact us by phone, as normal, to access their account. We’re working hard to restore service and thank customers for their patience.”

This is the second time this summer the bank has been afflicted with IT issues, with a similar incident happening back in June.
