Nectar card-holders may be able to save "£200/year" at Sainsbury's when they use its SmartShop app to scan items as they shop in store, as it'll trigger cost-cutting deals of up to 30% off. If you don't have a smartphone, you can get the offers when you use in-store scanners, and this all on top of normal Nectar perks. However, you can't get these deals when shopping online.

Jobseekers may be able to get six months' worth of free broadband from TalkTalk under a new partnership with the Government and Jobcentre Plus. Tips will go directly to hospitality staff under new legislation due to be introduced by the Government. The change, which the Government says will be implemented as soon as Parliamentary time allows for it, will make it illegal for employers to withhold tips from their workers.

It offers customers 1% cashback on most spending for a year, 5% interest on savings made when you round-up purchases, and fee-free debit card use abroad. But most can only get it from November and you could earn up to £130 switching bank account NOW, so is Chase's account worth it?

His warning comes after six energy suppliers ceased trading this month as the price firms pay for gas and electricity soars to new highs.
