Tesco axes triple value Clubcard deals - here's what you need to know

When you collect Clubcard points, you can convert them to Tesco vouchers to use at the store – for example, 500 points are usually worth £5. But if you exchange your vouchers for codes to spend with Tesco's Reward Partners, 500 points become worth £15. Partners include Hotels.com, Pizza Express, Legoland and 100s of other retailers. 

However, points will only be doubled when exchanging vouchers for Reward Partner codes from 14 June - a move the supermarket says will allow it to maintain a wide range of Clubcard rewards.

Here's what to do to get the benefit of triple Clubcard points for 12 months

Clubcard points are valid for two years, but when you swap them for rewards they usually expire after six months (unless otherwise stated).

However, Tesco is extending the validity of rewards for an additional six months leading up to 14 June. Any Reward Partner codes ordered before this date will continue to be valid for 12 months from the date of issue, so there's plenty of time to spend them on the current rate. 

So make sure you swap vouchers for a Reward code by 11.59pm on 13 June, and you'll be able to use the code for a year.

A Clubcard voucher worth 50p turns to £1.50 towards Cineworld and Picturehouse cinema tickets. Cinema prices vary across the country but when we looked today (18 March), an adult ticket to see Shazam! Fury of the Gods at Stratford Picturehouse London cost £8 - meaning £3 in Clubcard vouchers would cover the cost of your ticket. Full details in cinema tickets.
