If you're heading out to vote in various elections across England, Scotland and Wales today you don't need to bring your polling card or ID - but you will need to bring a pen or pencil and wear a face covering. 

If you want to vote in June's general election but are not yet on the electoral roll, act fast – you ONLY have until next Monday (22 May) to register.

Anyone planning to vote in June's general election who isn't yet on the electoral roll has only until Monday 22 May to register.

Anyone planning to vote in the local elections on 5 May must register to do so by midnight tonight.

People are being urged to register to vote in the general election ahead of the deadline at midnight tonight. Anyone who submits an application after this cut-off will not be able to have their say on 7 May.

MoneySavingExpert.com has teamed up with the Electoral Commission to encourage as many people as possible to register to vote, particularly as new research shows that only 40% of those who have moved house in the last year may have done so.

Over six million people could boost their chances of getting credit by joining the electoral register.
