New food labelling guidance that could save shoppers £1 billion a year by prolonging the lifespan of food and stopping edible items being thrown out has been published today.
Members of Waitrose's loyalty cards programme are no longer able to get a totally free tea or coffee from all of its stores, after the supermarket began trialling a new scheme which requires shoppers in some areas to buy something before qualifying for a free drink.
Ahead of the weekend, people are being warned to watch out for an email purporting to be from online takeaway service, Just Eat, asking them to fill in a survey rating their customer experience in return for a free £10 account credit.
