Netflix is to launch a new cheaper payment plan on 3 November, costing £4.99 a month - but you'll have to put up with adverts and initially, you'll have less to watch than other subscribers. Here's what's changing and how the new plan compares. 

Paramount has launched a new streaming service, Paramount+. From today (22 June), users can stream TV programmes and films for £6.99 a month or for £69.90 a year after a seven-day free trial. Here’s how it compares to other streaming services, including Apple+ and Netflix.

Thousands of Plusnet customers who have its YouView TV box will lose access to certain channels and features, including BT Sport, from 1 November as the provider is scrapping the service. Thousands of Now TV customers will see a price rise of £2 a month after the firm upped the cost of its cinema pass – but you may still be able to beat the hike.

Sky TV and Now TV customers can now register to stream on six different devices, up from four devices previously.
