Hiya.  Lots of good little'uns today.   The 3.9% loan is definitely worth a read if you're planning to borrow.  Admittedly it takes a little work, but it is powerful MoneySaving.

ACT QUICK! CHANCE FOR 18 MONTHS 0% CARD.  The leaflet I've mentioned before for the Capital One 18 month 0% (the longest anyone's ever offered) was in some Mail on Sunday You Magazines last week.  You can't apply without the leaflet, so rummage around for it or ask mates. More info: 18 month 0% discussion.  For those without the form, 12 month 0% cards are easily available elsewhere.  See Articles: Best card for purchases, best balance transfers or Credit Cards: Which is right for me?

PRINTER-TASTIC SAVINGS: Colour printer just £10.  Nowt clever about this.  Just a couple of super-dooper top bargain spots from the Chat Forum. There's a cheap colour printer from Dell for a tenner, or an all-in-one colour printer, scanner and copier from Lexmark for under £50.  Be quick though – when things like this have been in the Tip before they've often sold out.

GET A LOAN AT JUST 3.9%!  Updated half price plastic personal loan trick. The cheapest personal loan on the market is currently 5.7% and requires a top credit score.  Yet, if you're willing to play I've a recipe to beat the system and get a 3.9% loan.  Fully Updated Article Half price plastic personal loan.  Related Article: Cheapest Personal loan

HOUSE BUYING, SELLING & PROPERTY PRICES (includes hot house-selling tips) House Buying, Selling and Property Prices  is a new Chat Forum discussion section to accompany the Mortgages & Endowments Board.

Already there, is the hugely informed House Selling Tips

CASHBACK CARD DROPPING RATES:  DITCH & SWITCH Accucard/Easycard/Texaco card.  Annoyingly these three cards (managed by the same company) are dropping their cashback from 0.8% to 0.5% from 1 November for existing customers and earlier for new customers.  Sister cards from More>Than & Ipledge stay at 0.8%.  You can do substantially better. Updated Article: Best Cashback Card.

VALUE YOUR LOYALTY POINT STASH.  If you've a stash of Nectar points, AirMiles, BA Miles, Tesco Clubcard points, Boots Advantage points or any other, as a by-product of last week's credit card rewards piece, there's now an easy ‘value your loyalty points' article too.

DANGER!  WARNING & TRICK FOR ANYONE ONLY MAKING MINIMUM REPAYMENTS! If you've credit card debts and are just making the minimum repayments (excluding doing it tactically on 0% cards) it is hugely dangerous - £3,000 debt on a normal card takes 40 years to repay and costs over £6,000 in interest.  A little trick saves thousands without busting the bank.  New Article: Danger! Minimum Repayments

DID YOU KNOW? 16-17 year olds & students can tax proof themselves by putting money (up to 3k) in a tax-free mini-cash ISA.  Even current non-taxpayers should do this, as cash ISAs keep their long-term tax free status providing cash isn't withdrawn.  ISA limits are being lowered in the next couple of years so, if possible, stash as much away now as you can. URGENT TESSA NOTE AND UP YOUR TOISA RATE:  The last Tessas matured in April.  You have six months to move them into a special ‘Tessa-only ISA'; that means at best you've only two weeks left.  For those who already have Toisas it's still possible to increase the rate.

MARTIN'S MONEY POSER:  A triple-x-special.  There haven't been any posers for a while, mainly as I couldn't think of any.  Yet this one's simple, fill in the X's: 66,287,37,934,64,827,xx,x66,99,9.  View others' answers or discuss it.  I warn you this is almost as tough as Crack the code, so if no one gets it I'll post clues.

Selected past Money Posers: See Smirnoff Differently, A question of risk, stick or switch.

NEW SITE POLL:  Would you renationalise?  This week's poll asks “did privatisation work?” Vote or Discuss.  Last week nearly 1 in 3 people said they'd sell to rent.

As usual I'm about to ask you to tell everyone you know about the site, but as I write, my spelling has just proved professionally abysmal, and as it made us laugh I've shared the story here Noubt wrong with my spelling!  Now onto the serious bit.  If you like the e-mail and the site please do help out by persuading and cajoling friends to take a look.  The more of us, the more big companies quake. The best thing to do is recommend they join this e-mail - it's the easiest way in.

I hope you save some money
