Vodafone customers can grab cheap cinema tickets & more with its new rewards scheme
Vodafone mobile customers can now claim regular rewards such as cheap cinema tickets and discounts on food and drink via its new loyalty scheme.
From today, the VeryMe rewards programme is available to all new and existing Vodafone customers, regardless of whether you're on a pay-monthly or Sim-only contract. It is also available to pay-as-you-go customers, as long as you've topped up at least £10 in the last 60 days.
Vodafone says the app will give customers personalised deals which will refresh every Monday and Thursday.
Check out our guide for how to find the best deal.
How do I get the rewards?
If you want to take advantage of the rewards, you'll need the free My Vodafone App – if you already have it, you may be prompted to download an updated version.
You should then be able to see the 'VeryMe' button once you've opened the app, which you will need to click on to join the scheme.
You will then be shown your current available offers.
What freebies can I get?
Vodafone says the offers will be personalised, but are set to always include an Odeon deal, which is currently two adult cinema tickets for £7 which can be used any day of the week. Examples of other offers you may see are:
A free Costa coffee
A free cookie from Millie's Cookies
15% off Interflora
A free seven-day gym pass at Nuffield Health
It's worth noting some of the deals will only be available to a certain amount of customers.
Vodafone also says all pay monthly customers will be given an extra 2GB data when they sign up for VeryMe Rewards as an introductory offer. We're just checking the full details on this and will update when we know more.
While the freebies and discounts are a nice perk if you're already a Vodafone customer, DON'T see this on its own as a reason to switch provider.
Think of any scheme as a bonus, once you have picked the best phone deal for you.
How does 'VeryMe' compare to other networks' loyalty schemes?
The Three and O2 networks already have similar loyalty schemes which offer deals, competitions and freebies to their customers.
It's hard to directly compare the schemes as the offers change frequently, but we have regularly seen cinema deals, and food and drink offers on the apps. For more information, see:
Our Three deals page for more information about its Wuntu app
Our O2 deals page for more information about its Priority app
Again, it's not worth switching to a network just for its loyalty perks, instead check you're on the best deal for you using our 30+ Cheap Mobile Tips.
