Tesco Clubcard customers can now use points to buy a phone

Since last month, shoppers have been able to swap Clubcard vouchers for Tesco Mobile vouchers worth double their face value, and use them to cut their phone bills – but you can now use them upfront for a pay-monthly phone or upgrade as well. You can use the vouchers to pay a maximum of £250 towards each handset or bill. 

However, remember these vouchers are only worth double their face value – customers can swap a 50p Clubcard voucher for a £1 Tesco Mobile voucher – meaning they're technically worth less than vouchers for many other Clubcard partners, which are often worth three times their face value.

How can I use Clubcard vouchers with Tesco Mobile?

You can swap Clubcard vouchers for Tesco Mobile vouchers worth double the face value – so a £2 Clubcard voucher worth 200 Clubcard points will get you a £4 Tesco Mobile voucher.

You can then use these vouchers to reduce the cost of your device or monthly bill:

• To pay for the upfront cost of a new mobile phone, simply choose to pay an upfront cost when buying your handset and apply your voucher code at the checkout.

  Remember, you can only use the vouchers to pay for a pay-monthly phone or upgrade – not a pay-as-you-go handset.

• To get a discount on your Tesco Mobile monthly bill, you can log into your Tesco Mobile online account and choose the option to 'Reduce your bill with Clubcard partner vouchers'.

  You can either use your vouchers to pay off a bill, or apply them to your account as a credit to get a discount on future bills.
