Lloyds Bank has been ordered by the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) to settle a so-called 'Section 75' claim that is almost two-years old after the high-street lender tried to avoid making a payout because the items were bought via PayPal. If you're affected, your supply will continue and credit balances are protected. While it's likely you'll pay more now, there are no savings to be had by switching.

Don't bin post from Barclaycard as it's sending cheques worth up to £300 to both former and existing credit card customers, MoneySavingExpert.com can reveal. It's refunding wrongly charged interest and fees from before 2019 by cheque or transfer to customers on repayment plans. The credit card company tells us the average payout's around £70 but we've seen one MoneySaver get £300 back.

Universal Credit claimants and those in receipt of certain means-tested benefits will get £200 towards their energy bills, the Northern Ireland Executive has announced. It comes as part of a new £55 million support package designed to help around 280,000 people with the cost of living.
