Boots Advantage card-holders who haven't used their card in more than a year have now only got until 10.30pm tonight to use it. Those who don't will lose any accumulated points for good.

If you want to make sure you never lose points, you'll have to make sure you use the card at least once a year.

Boots told us it was making the change to its terms and conditions to "keep in line with the market". You will still keep your Advantage Card account if you don't use the card before 10.30pm on Monday 20 June, but the all-important points will be lost. If you don't use your card for more than four years, your account will be closed.

If you're a Boots shopper, check out our8 Boots tips and tricks and ourLoyalty points boosting guide to get the most out of your Advantage membership.

All you need to do to keep your points is scan your Boots Advantage Card at the till in store or use it when you shop online

Boots loyalty card-holders get four reward points for every £1 spent in store or online. Each point is worth roughly 1p and can be redeemed in store and online.

If you aren't already a Boots Advantage member, you can sign up for free by either downloading the Boots app and signing up to the Advantage Card digitally, or by subscribing for a Boots Advantage Card in store.
