Some train passengers have struggled for weeks to buy or renew railcards directly on the Railcard website. Railcard said it is working to resolve the technical issue, but here's what to try in the meantime.

The Government has proposed a shake-up to the Warm Home Discount (WHD) scheme in Scotland that could see an additional 50,000 households receive the rebate - and the amount people get is set to increase too. 

At least 30% of British Gas, Octopus Energy and Shell Energy customers who were in credit and on price-capped tariffs told the UK's biggest consumer website, MoneySavingExpert.com (MSE), that they've seen their direct debits double – even though the price cap rise is half that, at 54%. Plusnet and John Lewis broadband customers will be automatically compensated for delayed repairs and loss of service. Plusnet, which also runs the broadband service for John Lewis, has joined nine other companies that are part of the regulator's automatic compensation scheme. 

Sky Mobile's two million customers will be charged a £2 a day fee if they use their phone to 'roam' - make calls, send texts and access data outside of a free WiFi network - in Europe from today (3 May).  

U Account holders can no longer access their accounts or use their prepaid cards to spend or withdraw cash as the digital bank closed the service from midday today (Tuesday 3 May). The app-based account is also no longer available to new users.
