Vodafone, EE and O2 have announced that millions of mobile phone customers will face inflationary mid-contract price hikes in the next couple of months. Here's what your rights are if you're affected – unfortunately if you're in your minimum term, you're unlikely to be able to quit your contract penalty-free.

About 15,000 UK customers who pre-ordered the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 have been urged to return the phones immediately after a fire risk was identified with them. While the Royal Mail won't collect recalled faulty phones for safety reasons, some network providers will send couriers to pick up the devices and most will accept returns in store.

Apple aficionados who pre-ordered a new iPhone 7 for today's launch from EE, O2, Three and Vodafone have been left fuming after being told they'll have to wait to get their hands on it - in some cases, for at least six weeks . However, you may be able to cancel your order and claim a refund if it's late.
