Over three million Brits saved on their passport applications by applying online instead of by post last year – but more than half a million missed out, MoneySavingExpert.com (MSE) can reveal. So if you're planning a holiday abroad for the first time in a while, check your passport's still valid – and, if it's out of date, here's how to renew it for less.

British Airways passengers who feel they were wrongly handed vouchers for cancelled flights during the pandemic may now be able to get cash refunds following a U-turn by the airline. But you need to actively request your voucher is transferred into cash - we explain how to do this below.

Coronavirus testing for fully vaccinated travellers arriving in the UK will be axed next month, it's been announced. In addition, those who aren't fully vaccinated will no longer be required to take a day eight test or self-isolate on arrival to the UK. The new rules will come in from 4am on Friday 11 February.

Holidaymakers from the UK will be banned from entering France from 00.01am on Saturday 18 December, whether they are vaccinated or not. Only those with a "compelling" reason will now be able to enter the country but this doesn't include travel for tourist or business reasons.

All 11 countries on the UK's so-called 'red list' will be removed from 4am on Wednesday, meaning arrivals will no longer have to isolate in a Government-approved quarantine hotel.
