ReglazeMyGlasses logoReglazeMyGlasses £10 basic lenses code*And get free upgrade on premium lenses, pay £30 (norm £54)

Until Apr 2017

Getting new glasses can be expensive, however if you're happy with your frames but your lenses are damaged or your prescription has changed, you can send your specs to ReglazeMyGlasses* to get your lenses replaced.

We've blagged a code to get you £10 off your total basket, and as standard 1.5 Index lenses start from £19.90, you could get new lenses for £9.90 all in. Plus, if you choose lenses with enhanced coating, the code will also get you a free thinner lenses upgrade.

Here's how to get the offer:

  • Ask for the free ReglazeMyGlasses information pack*, which includes a box to post your glasses in, and enter the code MSEOCT16 by 11.59pm on Sun 30 Apr 2017 to get £10 off. You can send up to two pairs per box, and the code takes £10 off your total order.

  • Post your glasses (max two pairs) in the box provided in the pack - postage prepaid - including a copy of your prescription, and once received by ReglazeMyGlasses, you will get a call to discuss your requirements, or you can opt to be emailed instead.

  • You only pay if you then decide to use it. If not, your glasses will be returned for free.

  • Standard delivery’s free (allow 10 working days for your order).

  • As long as you've ordered your box with the code before Sun 30 Apr, there is no deadline for you to send it back. You will still qualify for the discount and free upgrade even if you send in your glasses after Sun 30 Apr.

What lenses is the code valid on?

The code's valid on all types of lenses, including bifocals, varifocals, tinted and polarised lenses (See the full price list). The normal price for standard 1.5 index glasses is £19.90 so, if you go for the most basic lenses, you'll pay £9.90 all-in.

Here's how to get the free thin lenses upgrade:

If you opt for any of the lenses with enhanced coating - described as super-scratch-resistant, enhanced-anti-reflective, easy clean & UV block treated lenses - and use the £10 off code above, you'll also be upgraded to a thinner lens for free. So, if you choose the 1.5 index lenses with enhanced coating (usually £39.90), you'll get the 1.6 index lenses, also with enhanced coating, for £29.90 (usually £53.90). Standard and basic coated lenses are not eligible for the free upgrade, but do still qualify for the £10 off.

How does it compare?

The cheapest price we can find elsewhere online for basic replacement lenses is £15 at Ciliary Blue, Direct Sight and New Lenses, while on the high street it's £40 at Specsavers. For 1.6 Index lenses with enhanced coating, the cheapest we can find is £30.95 at Direct Sight.

Section 75

Free protection for all shopping!

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.

And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
