More than one million people in England missed out on average savings of £40 in the 12 months to April 2021 because they did not use a prescription 'season ticket', according to data from our Freedom of Information request. These certificates typically offer savings to users who pay for more than one prescription a month.

Millions of Sky broadband, TV and home phone customers will see prices hiked by £43 a year on average from Friday 1 April. Meanwhile, Sky Mobile customers who use their data, or make calls and send texts in the EU will pay £2 a day in roaming charges from Tuesday 3 May. But affected customers may be able to cancel contracts penalty-free as a result.

Virgin Media O2 will no longer charge customers a disconnection fee if they move to homes that aren't connected to its cable network. The shake-up could save users £100s - though transfer fees of £20 remain for those who take their cable deal with them when moving home.

Millions of O2, Three and Virgin Mobile customers will be hit with price hikes of up to 11.7% this spring on the back of a sharp increase in the cost of living. More than a million Welsh households in council tax bands A to D will be given a £150 council tax credit to help with the cost of living crisis. Shoppers using certain buy now, pay later (BNPL) services may be due refunds after wrongly being charged late payment fees. Providers Clearpay, Openpay and Laybuy have all agreed to repay borrowers following involvement from the financial regulator.
