MoneySavers have given their thumbs-up to Barclays’ top-paying Golden Isa despite fears savers would have to wait weeks for their accounts to be opened.
Mortgage lenders are continuing to cut the cost of fixed rate deals for borrowers. Barclays this week became the latest lender to slash its rates, some of which are down by 0.5% points, following months of Bank of England base rate cuts.
Barclays has today launched the current top-paying tax-free cash Isa at 3.61%. The deal, which includes a 1% bonus for the first year, is called the Golden Isa. However, you cannot transfer money from an existing Isa into it.
