Abel & Cole 60% off first organic fruit & veg box*

50% off the next two. Cancel anytime

Organic online grocer Abel & Cole* is offering 60% off your first fruit and/or veg box when you enter the MSE Blagged code ACMSE2025 at the checkout by 11.59pm on Friday 14 March. If you decide to continue with the subscription, you'll automatically get 50% off the second and third boxes if ordered by 11.59pm on Monday 14 April. The offer's available for new customers, or those who've not placed an order within the last six weeks.

The boxes range in size, price and variety, but the cheapest is an Extra Small Fruit & Veg box*, which works out at £8.64 delivered after the code (£5.14 for the box, plus delivery).

Delivery costs £3.50 and to keep driving to a minimum, Abel & Cole only delivers to areas on a certain day of the week. It covers England and some parts of Wales and the South West – use its postcode checker to see if and when it delivers to your area. You can't change your delivery day or choose a time slot, but you can give an option for a 'safe place' for your box to be left.

Abel & Cole has a £12 minimum order fee, but this is prior to any discounts, and doesn't apply to any of the boxes included in our deal.

Important: When you sign up for this deal you'll be automatically enrolled into a weekly subscription, but you're able to skip or cancel at any time. If you do decide to continue, the code also gets 50% off your second and third boxes. If you want to cancel a box, you'll need to do it at least two working days before your next delivery is due – so if your next box is due on a Friday, you'll need to cancel by 11.59pm on the Tuesday before.

Here are a few more examples of boxes you could get*, and how much your first box would cost when using our code, including delivery:

The Everyday Essentials Veg box* contains eight types of vegetables – so with the code it works out at about 77p per portion of veg.

Abel & Cole sells a range of products (including Recipe boxes, Meat & Fish, and Bakery boxes, as well as general grocery items), but our code only works on the 'Fruit & Veg' boxes.

You can't choose the exact contents you'll receive – instead, you'll be able to see a list of what's included in your selected box for that week. These change on a weekly basis and Abel & Cole says that to help keep food miles to a minimum, there could be changes depending on what the local suppliers have available. For more information on how the different types of boxes work and what exactly you'll get inside, see Abel & Cole FAQs*.

MSE Olivia says:

The example box mentioned above works out at about 77p per portion of veg with our code. Obviously this isn't the cheapest way to buy veg, as you could pick up a bag of carrots for about 60-70p at most supermarkets. However, the cost of organic carrots at supermarkets is about £1.30 for a bag. This could be a good deal for you if you're happy to pay a little extra for the convenience of having fresh, organic food delivered to you, but also want to shop in a more sustainable and eco-friendly way.

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
What the * means above
If a link has an * by it, that means it is an affiliated link and therefore it helps MoneySavingExpert stay free to use, as it is tracked to us. If you go through it, it can sometimes result in a payment or benefit to the site. It's worth noting this means the third party used may be named on any credit agreements.
You shouldn’t notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links. We aim to look at all available products. If it isn't possible to get an affiliate link for the top deal, it is still included in exactly the same way, just with a non-paying link.
