Expired

Home-rental site Airbnb has fast become the giant of holiday rentals. If you're a new customer, there's currently a hot code available that gets you £25 off when you spend at least £50 on any booking worldwide.

You'll need to pay via Paypal and enter the code PAYPALSTAY25 online at the checkout (click 'Coupon' on the right-hand side of the checkout and a box will appear). The booking must be confirmed by your Airbnb host by Mon 31 Oct and as it can take a couple of days for confirmation, give yourself some leeway. Your stay can be any time before or after this date.

You can only use the code once and it can't be used with any other codes. See the full T&Cs.

Already an Airbnb member? Refer a friend and you both get £25

While you can't get the deal above, if you refer a friend who hasn't used Airbnb before via this referral link, you'll both get £25 credit added to your accounts. They won't be able to combine this with the Paypal offer - it's one or the other.

If you want to earn some extra cash, you can also rent out your home on Airbnb. See our 21 Airbnb hosting tips for full details.

Stay protected when booking on Airbnb

If you have any issues with your stay, Airbnb has a guest refund policy. See our Cheap Holiday Rentals guide for more info, including the dispute resolution service.

MSE Sarah M says:

Airbnb is a great way to see a new country and save money. As well as ordinary flats and houses, you can stay in quirky places for a fraction of the price you'd pay for a hotel - there are tree houses, windmills and castles available to rent through the site. My favourite trip so far was a cosy houseboat in Copenhagen. The owner was an Airbnb 'Superhost' and he left us groceries, maps and even let us use his record collection. Very trusting!

What is Airbnb?

Airbnb is a site that lets you pay to stay in other people's homes, often for a lot less than you'd pay for a hotel. You can rent individual rooms, or entire properties, in over 190 countries worldwide and 34,000 cities.

The site has a strong focus on peer reviews, so you can choose a place based on other people's experiences. For safety, Airbnb processes the payment - you'll be charged when the reservation is confirmed but it only releases money to the owner 24 hours after check-in.
