  • There are always ways to save money at The Body Shop*, so even if there isn't a cracking deal out there that works for you, don't assume you can't cut your costs further.

    Ways to save include:

    • Discount codes. There's almost always a code you can use at The Body Shop, usually for at least 25% off and sometimes for as much as 40% off (occasionally valid on sale items as well as full-price). You'll normally see these advertised on The Body Shop's homepage, and at MSE we often feature the stronger ones in our weekly email newsletter.

    • Student discount. Students can get 25% off full-price items at The Body Shop by registering with Student Beans. Yet as The Body Shop often has codes for 30%-40% off, check for one of these before using student discount as you may be able to save even more.

    • Try haggling. We polled 1,400 MoneySavers to find out in which shops hagglers have most success. In our poll, 33% of hagglers said they'd managed to blag a discount at The Body Shop, so it’s definitely worth a try. Find out more in our Haggle on the High Street guide.

    • Check similar retailers. If you're not committed to buying from The Body Shop, check for deals from other beauty retailers such as Boots, Crabtree & Evelyn or Superdrug.

    • Had a problem with The Body Shop? There’s a free online tool you can use to complain - it helps draft, manage and if necessary escalate your complaint. It’s offered by a firm called Resolver, which we like so much we work with it to help people get complaints justice - you can use it to complain to The Body Shop*.

If you spot any hot deals we've missed (we're only human!), let us know on Twitter @MSE_Deals, on Facebook or by emailing us at msedeals@moneysavingexpert.com.

  • If you sign up to the free Body Shop* 'Love Your Body' loyalty card, on your birthday you can get a free £5 to spend in store or online with no minimum spend (see full T&Cs*).

It's valid for up to one month after your birthday, there's no change from the £5, and you have to have made at least one purchase using the card previously to be eligible.

The Body Shop 40% off almost everything?

Last year, online & in stores. Code was valid on most full-price items

See our Black Friday 2019 guide for all our predictions, info and analysis. Check Deals & Vouchers for the latest offers on now or follow us on Twitter @MSE_Deals.

Last year, The Body Shop* offered 40% off most full-price items when you entered a code at the checkout, and we're predicting the same again this year.

The deal was available in stores as well (find your nearest*), either by showing the code printed out or on a phone screen. Some items were excluded (eg, gift cards, charitable items, store made gifts, sale items and selected products) and on gift products the discount was capped at 25% off.

This offer was valid in participating stores from Black Friday until close of business on Cyber Monday, and online until 9am on Tuesday. Horsham and Hove branches and all airports/outlets are often excluded.

Examples of discounts we found last year include:

    • Tea tree skin clearing facial wash, 250ml - £3.90 (£6.50 before code)
    • Vitamin E night cream, 50ml - £8.40 (£14 before code)
    • Himalayan charcoal purifying glow mask, 75ml - £12.69 (£17 before code)
    • White Musk eau de parfum, 50ml - £15.69 (£22 before code)

Important: Don't get caught up in the Black Friday hype, and keep our money mantras in mind – only ever buy what you need and can afford. You should always do your own price comparisons to ensure you’ve found the best deal available – don't simply take a retailer's word for it.
