Brewdog logoBrewdog 20 beer tasting & cheeseboard for 2*Get voucher via daily deals site (norm 40)

32 locations

If you go to daily deals site Groupon* you can pay £19.99 to get a voucher for a Brewdog tasting experience for two, including five beers each plus a cheese platter to share.

The tours are running at 32 locations across the UK - full list in 'more info' below - and you can use the voucher Sun-Thu from 4 Jun to 1 Sep, but you must have bought the voucher and booked your tour by 15 Aug.

The tutored tour, which Brewdog says normally costs £40, will last about 90 minutes with a Brewdog member of staff guiding you through each beer. There'll be a maximum of eight people per tour. Each of the craft beers will be 1/3 of a pint (18cl), and of various types depending on stock, but will normally include a lager, a pale ale, an IPA and a stout.

As for the cheese platter, the spread contains a variation of cheddar, goat's cheese and blue cheese. We've written all this while resisting the urge to include embarrassing cheesy puns – we hope you'll brie impressed.

How to redeem your voucher

Once you've bought your voucher from Groupon, you'll then receive an email which will prompt you to book your slot online on the Groupon scheduler (you can't book over the phone). Make sure to print or show the Groupon voucher on your smartphone to your chosen venue.

Expired

Voting in the general election? Like beer? Then we've a deal that'll make you go weak at the knees. On Thu 8 Jun and Fri 9 Jun, craft beer company Brewdog is giving away totally free pints of Punk IPA (normally £5ish) to anyone who snaps a polling station selfie.BrewDog

When you turn out to vote on Thursday (7am-10pm), simply photograph yourself with one of the 'polling station' signs outside. Then go to one of Brewdog's 29 bars in England, Scotland or Wales (find your nearest) and show your picture to a staff member at the bar to claim your free pint.

You can claim the freebie anytime during opening hours - either on election day itself or this Friday - but there's a limit of one pint per person. If you've voted by post, you can get a free beer by showing the confirmation email from when you registered.

But DON'T take photos inside the polling station...

The Electoral Commission says: "Pictures taken outside the polling station are great to use on social media and encourage your friends and family to vote, but don’t take photos inside the polling station as you might find yourself in breach of secrecy of the ballot requirements."

Section 75

Free protection for all shopping!

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.

And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.

If a link has a * by it, that means it is an affiliated link and therefore it helps MoneySavingExpert stay free to use, as it is tracked to us. If you go through it, it can sometimes result in a payment or benefit to the site.

You shouldn't notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links. We aim to look at all available products. If it isn't possible to get an affiliate link for the top deal, it is still included in exactly the same way, just with a non-paying link.
