Even if you don't want everything in the list above for yourself, it's perfect for splitting up and using as birthday presents throughout the year. You could put numbers together and give the relevant boxes for people's age, or take them out of the inner boxes and wrap in tissue paper or organza bags to make up separate gifts.

You could, of course, also keep the set until December 2018 to use as an advent calendar if you like the 2017 colours.

Ciate logoCiaté 30% off Black Friday code*Discount valid on most products, incl advent calendar. Online only

Expired

If you go online to beauty retailer Ciaté* you can get 30% off most items in its Black Friday promotion using the code BLACKOUT until Mon 27 Nov.

Ciaté has told us delivery can take up to 14 working days during sales. Delivery starts at £2.95, depending on how much you order.

Decent discounts we found on Thu 23 Nov include:

  • Advent calendar* £27.45 delivered with code, norm £52.95 delivered. Next cheapest we found, £33.98 delivered from TK Maxx.

Not so hot deals:

  • Glitter flip £14.85 delivered with code, norm £19.95 delivered. CHEAPER at Lookfantastic*, £14.45 delivered using 15% off code.

If you're looking for something in particular, it's worth checking that the £2.95+ delivery doesn't mean the price is beaten at retailers with free delivery as well as codes this Black Friday.

Important: Don't allow yourself to be taken in by the hype around Black Friday and be sucked into buying something you don't need or can't afford. And always do your own price comparisons to ensure you are getting the best deal possible – don't just take a retailer's word for it.

Section 75

Free protection for all shopping!

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.

And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.

You shouldn't notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links.
