Four months' free Day Out With The Kids VIP pass (normally £3.99 a month)*

Access 1,000s of deals for theme parks, cinemas & more days out. Excludes Northern Ireland

Day Out With The Kids VIP pass is a membership that gives access to thousands of offers, including ‘kids go free’, 2for1, and up to 40% off cinema tickets.

You can't see specific deals before you sign up, but if you're new to it you can go via this MSE Blagged Day Out With The Kids* link and enter the code MSEVIP4 when signing up by 11.59pm on Thursday 29 February to get four months' free membership to try it out. Plus, if you decide to continue, this deal will get you a reduced annual membership price of £9.99 (normally £29.99).

The pass will cover the February and May half-terms, as well as the Easter break next month so you'll have plenty chances to save on days out.

Important:You’ll need to enter payment details when you sign up, and after the four free months you’ll be automatically enrolled into an ongoing annual subscription costing £9.99 for a year (discounted from the usual £29.99 for a year),unless you cancel by at least the day prior to your renewal date – you can check this in the 'My Membership' area when logged in, and Day Out With The Kids says it will send an email reminder three days before your trial period ends.

What the VIP pass gets you

Offers run across England, Wales and Scotland (but not Northern Ireland) and one pass covers your whole household. You don't need to have a child with you to redeem many of the offers, so two adults could use a 2for1 or percentage off, for example, but there may be certain restrictions for some deals, so you'll need to check each offer individually.

It's a closed group so we can’t share the specifics of most deals, but we've seen a preview and savings include:

  • Up to 41% off Drayton Manor Resort gate-price

  • Up to 40% off Odeon and Vue cinema tickets

  • Extra 30% off SeaLife and Legoland Discovery centres

  • 20% off Laser Quest

  • Extra 10% off Go Ape

  • Kids go 'free' to Blue Reef Aquariums

  • Up to 35% off Port Lympne and West Midlands safari parks

  • 2for1 to Innoflate

  • At least 50% off Chaos Karts in Manchester

VIP pass deals may not always be cheapest, so do check elsewhere to make sure you're getting the best price for the attraction you want to visit.

How to use the pass

To use it, log in to your account and check the page of the attraction you're interested in at the Day Out With The Kids website, where you'll find information on how to redeem the offer as this differs between attractions – some require you to generate a unique code, for example. A few venues ask you to show your VIP pass on arrival, which you'll need to do on your phone as you won't be sent a physical pass.

This is the first time we've featured Day Out With The Kids, but reviews we've seen are largely positive. Let us know what you think of it on Twitter (X).

Free protection for all shopping!

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
What the * means above
If a link has an * by it, that means it is an affiliated link and therefore it helps MoneySavingExpert stay free to use, as it is tracked to us. If you go through it, it can sometimes result in a payment or benefit to the site. It's worth noting this means the third party used may be named on any credit agreements.
You shouldn’t notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links. We aim to look at all available products. If it isn't possible to get an affiliate link for the top deal, it is still included in exactly the same way, just with a non-paying link.
