  • If you're a member of the Armed Forces, Veterans or Armed Forces Community, you can sign up for a Defence Discount Service card to get discounts on the high street, restaurants and online. It costs £4.99 for a five-year membership.

The card is available to all members of the Armed Forces, although you don't have to be actively serving to get it. For example, veterans, partners of service personnel and cadets over the age of 16 can apply.

If you are going to take advantage of the offers, check the T&Cs for each individual retailer at Defence Discount Service.

    MSE Becky says:

Although these discounts look appealing, do check around to see what other deals and codes you can find beforehand, to make sure you’re getting the biggest discount. For example, Merlin's '40% off' attractions seems like a good saving, but you can often get 2for1 or half-price entry deals. Prezzo has lots of codes and discounts running throughout the year, however KFC and Starbucks rarely offer a blanket discount.
