Dorothy Perkins logoDorothy Perkins: MoneySaving tips & tricks*Incl keeping an eye on shop layouts & free Click & Collect

Ongoing

There are always ways to save money at Dorothy Perkins*, so even if there isn’t a cracking deal out there that works for you, don’t assume you can’t cut your costs further.

Ways to save include:

  • Free Click & Collect. Every online purchase is eligible for free Click & Collect and there's no minimum spend required, so you can save on delivery costs.

  • Keep an eye on shop layouts and you could find out when a sale's coming up. Items are generally laid out by season's look in stores, but when a sale's coming, they're arranged into categories, eg, trousers and tops - if you're about to purchase and you notice a layout change, it could be worth waiting. Check our Shopping Tricks Guide for how to save more on the high street.

  • Try haggling. We polled 1,400 MoneySavers to find out in which shops they had most success haggling. High street fashion retailers did feature, so it’s worth a go. Find out more in our Haggle on the High Street guide.

  • Check out similar retailers, eg, H&M, New Look, Zara. If you're not committed to buying from Dorothy Perkins, check out our deals from H&MNew LookAsosNext, TopshopTopman and Zara, where there may be a better offer.

  • Want more? Find out more shopping tricks in our Shopping Secrets guide.

  • Had a problem with Dorothy Perkins? There’s a free online tool you can use to complain – it helps draft, manage and if necessary escalate your complaint. It’s offered by a firm called Resolver, which we like so much we work with it to help people get complaints justice – you can use it to complain to Dorothy Perkins*.

If you spot any hot deals out there we have missed (we are human after all!), please let us know on Twitter @MSE_Deals or by emailing msedeals@moneysavingexpert.com.

Get up to 50% off fashion retailer Dorothy Perkins* until 11.59pm online and end of trading in store on Mon 27 Nov. The discount will be clearly marked online and in stores. Delivery's £3.95.

At the moment, it's up to 50% off selected items, but in previous years Dorothy Perkins has boosted items in the sale on Black Friday and Cyber Monday - although there's no guarantee it'll do the same this year.

Important: Don't allow yourself to be taken in by the hype around Black Friday and be sucked into buying something you don't need or can't afford. And always do your own price comparisons to ensure you are getting the best deal possible – don't just take a retailer's word for it.

For the rest of our Black Friday deals and analysis, see our Black Friday 2017 Deals page.

Section 75

Free protection for all shopping!

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.

And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.

If a link has a * by it, that means it is an affiliated link and therefore it helps MoneySavingExpert stay free to use, as it is tracked to us. If you go through it, it can sometimes result in a payment or benefit to the site.

You shouldn't notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links. We aim to look at all available products. If it isn't possible to get an affiliate link for the top deal, it is still included in exactly the same way, just with a non-paying link.
