There are always ways to save money at Gourmet Burger Kitchen, so even if there isn't a cracking deal out there that works for you, don’t assume you can’t cut your costs further.
Ways to save include:
- Download the app. With the Gourmet Burger Kitchen app, you can earn rewards and freebies if you're a regular customer. You'll be given a customer ID via the app, which you need to show when you pay for your meal. It's available for iPhone and Android,
- Student discount. You can get 25% off food when you download the Gourmet Burger Kitchen app and present it with your student ID card when you pay. The offer is available when you dine in or get a takeaway Sun-Thu, but can only be used on takeaway orders Fri-Sat.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen told us there is no code needed to claim this deal, and instead you just need to mention the kids eat free promotion to staff when ordering. Kids will be able to get a burger, side, drink (which would usually cost £5.95), as well as ice cream (which would usually cost £1) as part of this deal, making it a total saving of £6.95.
You can get one free kids meal for each accompanying adult that buys a main. This deal can't be used alongside any other offer, set menu or GBK app reward.

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100.
