Black Friday cashback rates from Topcashback & Quidco

You could max your savings going via cashback sites

The two big cashback sites – Topcashback* and Quidco* – are offering bonus cashback on a range of retailers, most of which currently have Black Friday sales on. By going through to the retailer via a cashback site before you purchase means you could effectively get even more of a discount on your items – though you will have to wait a while to get your cashback.

You shouldn't choose where to shop based on cashback alone, as it's never 100% guaranteed, so always go for the best price on the item you're after, and see any cashback as an extra bonus. See our Top cashback sites guide for full info on how they work.

Below, we've picked 18 popular retailers and checked the rates offered for each at Topcashback and Quidco at 3pm on Friday 29 November.

Where Topcashback rates differ for its 'Classic' (free) and 'Plus' (£5/year of your earned cashback) membership, we've given both rates, and we've done the same for Quidco 'Basic' (free) and 'Premium' (£1/month of your earned cashback) membership.

Travelodge 30% off cheapest night when booking two or more nights

10% off one night. 'Saver Rate' stays from 1 Jan until 7 Feb

Travelodge* has 10% off a one night hotel stay or 30% off the cheapest night on a multiple night stay (from two to 28 nights) for its Black Friday offer.

You must book to stay between Wednesday 1 January and Friday 7 February 2025, and it's valid on prepaid Saver Rates only. This deal lasts until 5pm on Monday 2 December, and you will be told during the booking process whether or not the offer applies to your stay.

There's no discount code needed – if your stay qualifies then the discount should be automatically applied.

Not every date within the stay period is available at every location – here's a list of available dates and participating hotels.

Last year the offer was also available on 'Flexible' rooms, which allowed free cancellation and amendments, but not this time, so bear in mind Saver rooms are non-refundable and non-amendable.

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.

And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100.
