As summer's hotting up and there's talk of a heatwave, we're predicting fans will soon be flying off the shelves. In previous years, the cheap ones have disappeared very quickly, and some stores sold out of all fans.

While not an exhaustive list, we’ve rounded up the best deals we've seen on the most common sizes - though we'd expect stock to go quickly so it could be a game of ‘can you find ‘em’ rather than guaranteed.

- Flower, similar to Kenzo Flower, cheapest for the original we found- £32.50 for 50ml at AllBeauty.com.
- Sky Blue, similar to Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, cheapest for the original we found - £39.95 for 50ml at AllBeauty.com.
- Choice, similar to Chanel Chance, cheapest for the original we found - £55 for 50ml at House of Fraser.
- Mademoiselle London, similar to Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, cheapest for the original we found - £54.50 for 50ml at Feel Unique.
- Emporia, similar to Calvin Klein Euphoria, cheapest for the original we found - £43.50 at The Fragrance Shop.
We've done some in-house testing at MSE Towers of other cheap smell-alike perfumes, and many scored highly against the more expensive brands so don't write off cheaper alternatives as they could save you a lot of money.

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.

And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100.
