If you click a link with an * to go through to a provider, we may get paid. This usually only happens if you get a product from it. This is what funds our team of journalists, and keeps us free to use. Yet there are two crucial things you need to know about this.
- This never impacts our editorial recommendations – if it's in, it's in there because we independently rate it best.
- You'll always get as good a deal (or better) than if you went direct.

eBay daily deals?
Last year, across most departments & price matching

In the last few years, eBay* has released deals each morning on the week leading up to Black Friday (this year 29 Nov). Last year, most items were being sold by retailers' eBay shops, eg, Argos, AO.com, Currys PC World and Boohoo.
Last year it also released 'Hot Right Now' deals at 8am, 12pm, 4pm and 8pm every day in the week of Black Friday.
How likely is it?
eBay have run a similar offer for the last four years, so we'd say it's fairly likely that it'll do the same again this year.
Will it be any good?
Last year we found that eBay had mostly been price matching big retailers, making it joint cheapest. However not all items were cheapest on eBay, so always do your own research before buying.
Examples of strong discounts we spotted last year:
- Google Chromecast (3rd gen) - £20 via Argos eBay store (was £30). Same price at Currys.
- Sega Megadrive standard games console with 81 games - £39.99 via Argos eBay store (was £59.99). Same price at Ao.com, Amazon and Currys.
Important: Don't allow yourself to be taken in by the hype around Black Friday and be sucked into buying something you don't need or can't afford. Always do your own price comparisons to ensure you are getting the best deal possible – don't just take a retailer's word for it.

eBay daily deals for Black Friday
Deals being released every hour until Cyber Monday, but a bit hit and miss
ExpiredSee our Black Friday page for all our predictions, info and analysis. Check Deals & Vouchers for the latest offers on now or follow us on Twitter @MSE_Deals.
Similar to the last few years, eBay* is releasing deals every hour throughout the Black Friday period, until 8pm on Cyber Monday (Mon 2 Dec).
It promises "savings of up to 67% on brands including Bang & Olufsen, LG and Simba", but the best deal we spotted - an Xbox One S with wireless controller and three digital downloads for £99 - sold out within 40 minutes.
The deals in general are a bit hit and miss, and only on selected products at selected retailers. Previous eBay codes offering 20% off £25+ spends valid at multiple retailers have offered better deals on many popular products, so don't just take eBay's word and always do your own price comparisons.
