If you click a link with an * to go through to a provider, we may get paid. This usually only happens if you get a product from it. This is what funds our team of journalists, and keeps us free to use. Yet there are two crucial things you need to know about this.
- This never impacts our editorial recommendations – if it's in, it's in there because we independently rate it best.
- You'll always get as good a deal (or better) than if you went direct.

Free 2-week comedy streaming subscription
Norm £10/mth. Full-length stand-up by Gina Yashere, Doug Stanhope etc
ExpiredLaughter's what we need to get through lockdown. If you use our MSE Blagged code MSE2020, you can score a two-week free trial of NextUp*, the stand-up comedy streaming service (norm £9.99/month or £57.48/year), until 11.59pm on Tue 21 Apr. You can usually claim a one-week trial as standard but our two-week trial is the longest available anywhere. The offer's for anyone without an active NextUp account, so past users can use it too.
Important: The free trial will roll over onto a monthly or yearly plan (whatever you choose at signup), so if you don't want to be on a paid subscription, remember to cancel before your free trial is up. You can do that online via your 'My Account' page.
The free trial unlocks all content, so you can have the full NextUp experience.
What is NextUp?
The "Netflix of UK stand-up", NextUp films and curates stand-up comedy recordings which it offers as part of a streaming subscription service. You'll find full-length shows by household names such as Doug Stanhope, as well as lots of rising stars such as Maisie Adam and Anna Mann (pictured above).
With live entertainment artists' livelihoods suffering because of the lockdown, NextUp supports comedians by sharing revenue 50/50 with all its featured performers.
How do I claim the two-week free trial?
Choose the Monthly, Yearly or Yearly+ plan option and you'll need to enter your payment details. The two-week trial is the same no matter which you choose, but your choice dictates what plan you'll roll onto after the free trial ends, if you don't cancel it first.
Your free two weeks begin right away.
