This year's No7 beauty Advent calendars* are here. Yes, it's very early to be talking about 'Advent' calendars, but they're a great way of bagging your wish list beauty products at a fraction of the normal cost, or for dividing up as gifts throughout the year.

We've full details of each calendar's contents below, but briefly, there's a £65 calendar which we've calculated has £243 of No7 beauty in it, and a £180 one with £411 of stuff.

Delivery is free, and orders will be shipped within standard Boots timescales, so there's no extra wait. The Advent calendars are in stores from Thursday 3 September.

Here's what you'll find inside each calendar, along with MSE Olivia's verdict on both below.

£65 No7 '25 Days of Beauty Calendar'*

This contains a mix of eight full-size products and minis. Boots says the contents of the calendar would cost over £249 if you were to buy the items separately at full price. Based on current offers when checking on Monday 10 August, we calculated it'd cost £243 – the usual No7 3for2 isn't counted in this calculation due to the number of minis which aren't available separately, so bear this in mind.

All items in this calendar are full-size. Boots says the contents would cost £551 if you were to buy the items separately at full price. Based on current discounts and Boots' 3for2 offer when checking on Monday 10 August, we calculated it'd cost £411, or £514 excluding the 3for2 offer.

Every year, beauty Advent calendars launch earlier, but as a bargain-hunting beauty lover, I secretly love it. Here's my take on this year's No7 lineup:

£65 No7 '25 Days of Beauty Calendar'* – 73% saving

This is a great option if you're new to No7, offering a nice balance of make-up and skincare. However, because only eight items are full-sized – and they're all make-up – regular No7 skincare users may find the 14 minis underwhelming. The packaging also feels a bit basic, similar to a standard chocolate calendar.

It's worth noting that because you can't buy the minis separately, we couldn't factor Boots' usual 3for2 offer into this value calculation like we did for the Ultimate version.

£180 No7 'The Ultimate Beauty Advent Calendar'* – 56% saving

I reckon this calendar is great for dedicated No7 fans, especially if you use the Future Renew range. All items are full-sized, and the sliding door packaging feels more luxe (see the unboxing video). This one includes a stronger voucher – it's for a free foundation (normally £19.95) and you can pick your own shade – though the range on Boots' website is currently limited to just 10 options.

My only real critique is that while you get two lipsticks and two glosses, there's no lip liner included, which feels like an oversight given the cheaper £65 version has one.

Stack deals to make a big saving. Online only

We've got a nifty Boots trick that can bag £179 of No7 beauty products for £40 by stacking three separate deals (plus a bonus fourth deal for free next-day delivery), but you need to be quick. Here's how it works:

Deal one (20% off): The No7 Prime Forever SPF50 primer* is currently 20% off, bringing its price down to £19.96 from £24.95. If you're a fan of other items in the Prime Forever range*, four products are also discounted by 10%.
Deal two (3for2): No7's classic 3for2 mix-and-match offer applies to the Prime Forever range*. Add three of the discounted primers to your basket, the third one is completely free – so you've now got £74.85 of items for £39.92.
Deal three ('free' gift): Boots is running a 'Spend £30 on Prime Forever, get a free gift' offer. Buying the above primers hits that threshold, and the free gift should be added to your basket automatically. The free gift has four No7 lip products, two eye products and a blusher, which would cost £103.65 bought separately at full-price, so this gives you a total of £178.50 of No7 beauty for £39.92.
Deal four (next-day delivery): Standard delivery will be free, but as a bonus, you can use the code NEXTDAY to get free next-day delivery (normally £5.95) on top.

Is the 'free' gift really worth £100+?

If bought separately at full-price, yes, but if you used the Boots 3for2 offer, stacked with '25% off premium beauty', plus a NO7SAVE5 code to get £5 off (neither valid on the Prime Forever range), you could buy the items separately today for £59.94. Even if you factor that in, you're still getting £135 of products for £40.

What if I don't want three primers?

You can mix and match other items in the Prime Forever range to trigger the 3for2 and the free gift. However, the 20% off discount only applies to the SPF50 primer, so mixing items will change your final total, but you can still make a decent saving.

How long will this trick last?

We've asked Boots how long the 20% off and 3for2 is lasting but it hasn't told us (we'll update here when we find out) – so it's best to go quick as the deals could be pulled any time.

This is one many beauty lovers wait for... the annual No7 'Beauty Vault' set is back. It launched on Tuesday 30 June (for early access) and has now sold out online, but it's still available in some stores – use the 'Find in store' link at the No7 Beauty Vault page* to check if it's in stock at your local Boots.

It costs £39.95 and Boots says it's worth £182, but based on current offers, we found you could buy the items separately for £130 – a £90 saving.
