On Monday 20 July, fast food chicken chain Popeyes is giving away totally free coffees, which would normally cost £2, to perk up Brits after Sunday's football World Cup final.

You don’t need to be a member of the Popeyes app to get this deal, as the freebie is available to all. You just need to enter the code WAKEMEUP at one of its in-store self-service kiosks.

It’s available until 12pm on Monday 20 July. Not all Popeyes restaurants are open in the morning, so check your local restaurant's opening times before you go. Birmingham New Street, Derby, Chelmsford,and airport locations are excluded from this deal.

Fast food chicken chain Popeyes is offering a free hash brown (regular or Cajun, normally £1.50) when you make any purchase during breakfast hours, up to 10.30am. To claim it, you'll need the Popeyes app (iOS/Android) – both new and existing users can get this deal.

It's available for collection only until Sunday 14 June. Not all Popeyes restaurants are open in the morning, so check if your local restaurant serves breakfast.

You'll find the 'free' hash brown in the 'Offers' tab within the app – simply select 'Claim now' and add it to your order. You’ll only be able to use this offer once.

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100.
