Smyths Black Friday 'specials'

Deals across different departments. Valid online and in stores
If you go online and in store to toy shop Smyths, you can get discounts on hundreds of items for its Black Friday sale.
Some offers we've spotted on Friday 29 November (Black Friday) include £5 off every £50 (then £10 off £100, £15 off £150 and so on) on Barbie products, buy one get one half price on all board games, and three for two on Crayola products.
Smyths is also price-matching other retailers for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, so this could be a good place to shop if you're after one of these.
Previously this month, Smyths had other Black Friday offers on including £5 off when spending £50 to £99.99, or £10 off if spending £100+ in store which applied to majority of items – this is arguably a better offer than the above as it wasn't limited to just Barbie products showing that sometimes it isn't always best to wait until Black Friday or Cyber weekend.
Important: Don’t allow yourself to be taken in by the hype around Black Friday and be sucked into buying something you don’t need or can’t afford. Always do your own price comparisons to ensure you are getting the best deal possible – don’t just take a retailer’s word for it.

And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
What the * means above
If a link has an * by it, that means it is an affiliated link and therefore it helps MoneySavingExpert stay free to use, as it is tracked to us. If you go through it, it can sometimes result in a payment or benefit to the site. It's worth noting this means the third party used may be named on any credit agreements.
You shouldn’t notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links. We aim to look at all available products. If it isn't possible to get an affiliate link for the top deal, it is still included in exactly the same way, just with a non-paying link.
