If you click a link with an * to go through to a provider, we may get paid. This usually only happens if you get a product from it. This is what funds our team of journalists, and keeps us free to use. Yet there are two crucial things you need to know about this.
- This never impacts our editorial recommendations – if it's in, it's in there because we independently rate it best.
- You'll always get as good a deal (or better) than if you went direct.

UPDATE: 72 flowering plant plugs £20 delivered
Updated dispatch date: now dispatching by mid July
ExpiredMSE Update at 12pm on Tue 29 Jun: Frustratingly, we’ve heard some MSE users who paid for this deal in April still haven’t received these plants - we've been pressing Suttons for weeks to ensure its customers are looked after as this hasn't been the only issue (originally some were doubled charged but it says that's now sorted).
The latest from Suttons is that it insists, due to bad weather, some of the original crop for this deal was not up to scratch. It says it's sown a new batch to fulfil all remaining orders and estimates you'll receive your plants by mid July assuming it meets its deadline. Suttons says everyone impacted should receive an email outlining the new dispatch date and the option to cancel their order for a full refund if they prefer.
Suttons is asking any MSE user with any questions to contact it on info@suttons-seeds.co.uk, with MSE in the subject line of your email, and it will be prioritised.
Here are the details of the original deal from April
Spring has sprung, and these are the best months for planting perennials (longer-life plants) outdoors. If you go online to plant retailer Suttons* via our Blagged link, you can get 72 perennial flowering plant plugs for £19.98 (that's £14.99 plus £4.99 postage). Just 'Add to basket' to see the price change. Without this deal, you'd pay £54.98 (reduced from £112.87) for this bundle. Unfortunately Suttons doesn't deliver to Northern Ireland and a handful of postcodes – see the list of exclusions below.
Important: The plants will be dispatched when they have grown to the required size, which Suttons tells us could be Mon 31 May at the latest. As with many plants, be aware that some of these are toxic if ingested – worth bearing in mind if you have pets or kids prone to nibbling things they shouldn't.
The offer ends at 11.59pm on Tue 4 May or once all 2,000 bundles have been claimed – whichever's sooner. The last time we ran a flowering plant deal, the lot was snapped up in under 24 hours, so go quick if you want a bundle.
The plants will arrive as 3-6cm plugs. There are 12 varieties of perennial plant in the bundle, each with a different colour:
Achillea 'Cerise Queen'
Dark Dianthus 'Rockin' Red' Geum 'Mrs Bradshaw' Aquilegia 'Mrs Scott Elliott' Digitalis 'Dalmatian Mix ' Leucanthemum 'Crazy Daisy' Coreopsis grandiflora 'Golden Joy' Doronicum orientale 'Little Leo' Salvia 'Salvatore Deep Blue' Delphinium 'Magic Fountain Blue' Echinacea 'Nectar Pink' Verbena 'Buenos Aires'
Suttons says the flowers in this bundle should take turns to bloom all the way from late spring through to autumn. As they're perennials, you can expect them to bloom again year after year. For those who prefer indoor gardening, see our blog I turned my flat into a jungle on the cheap – how to do it yourself.
