Ongoing

Show Defence Discount Service code. Valid Mon-Fri & Sun

At most Yo! Sushi restaurants, customers who show a valid Defence Discount Service code from Monday-Friday or Sunday will get 20% off food.

To get the code, you need to hold a Defence Discount Service card, and generate the code from its website or via the app – you can't just show the card.

It's only valid on bills up to the value of £100. It excludes drinks and takeaways, and it can't be used with any other offers.

It's valid at all Yo! Sushi restaurants except Heathrow T2 and T3.

What's the Defence Discount Service?

To get a card, you have to pay £4.99 but it's valid for five years - so worth it if you think you'll save more than £5 in this time.

You don't have to be actively serving to get it, for example, veterans, partners of service personnel and cadets over the age of 16 can apply. Check the Defence Discount Service website to see if you qualify.

Sunday to Friday

Show Blue Light Card code. Not valid on drinks

At most Yo! Sushi restaurants, customers who show a valid Blue Light Card code from Sunday to Friday will get 20% off food, valid on dine-in or click & collect.

To get the code, you need to hold a Blue Light Card (£4.99 for two years – see more info), and generate the code from its website or via the app – you can't just show the card.

It's only valid on bills up to the value of £100. It excludes drinks, delivery orders, and it can't be used with any other offers. It's valid at all Yo! Sushi restaurants except Luton Airport and Tooley Street.

Free gyoza Monday to Thursday

If you're dining in on a Monday to Thursday, you can also get a free five-piece portion of chicken or vegetable gyoza, using your Blue Light Card code. The freebie is valid at all Yo! Free protection for all shopping!

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
What the * means above
If a link has an * by it, that means it is an affiliated link and therefore it helps MoneySavingExpert stay free to use, as it is tracked to us. If you go through it, it can sometimes result in a payment or benefit to the site. It's worth noting this means the third party used may be named on any credit agreements.
You shouldn’t notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links. We aim to look at all available products. If it isn't possible to get an affiliate link for the top deal, it is still included in exactly the same way, just with a non-paying link.
