Solarplicity, an energy supplier with around 7,500 domestic customers, has stopped trading.

If you're a Solarplicity customer, your energy supply will continue and prepayment meters can be topped up as normal. If you've got a credit balance, this will be protected.

The energy regulator Ofgem has a full set of FAQs. Its advice to Solarplicity customers is:

  • Not to switch to another energy supplier until a new one has been appointed and you have been contacted by them. This will happen in the next few weeks.

  • To take a meter reading ready for when your new supplier contacts you.

Most of Solarplicity's customers were recently switched to Toto Energy. If you have been contacted by Toto, you will remain with it.

Read our Ex-Solarplicity customers wrongly switched to Toto Energy MSE News story if you think you've been wrongly switched to the energy firm.
