John Lewis has partnered with rental clothing brand The Little Loop to this week launch a subscription rental service for children's clothes. Shoppers will pay a monthly, quarterly or six-month fee to borrow between six and 14 items a month for babies and children up to the age of 12. Amazon has shelved plans to stop people using Visa credit cards to buy items on the shopping platform from 19 January. It means users no longer need to update their payment details, although they can continue to do so in order to be awarded free credit.

Asda is extending its one-hour express delivery service to a further 92 stores across the UK. The service was first introduced at the beginning of the summer at four outlets and allows customers to place an order and receive their groceries to their door in under 60 minutes.

Shoppers will be able to pick-up DPD delivered parcels from 250 Post Office branches across the UK from next week, it's been announced.

Three major high street retailers have voluntarily closed their online stores in the wake of the UK lockdown to protect staff working in warehouses and distribution centres.

Customers of haircare company GHD have reported being charged up to 11 times for online orders after its website crashed on Black Friday.
