ExpiredHome-rental site Airbnb has fast become the giant of holiday rentals. If you're a new customer, there's currently a hot code available that gets you £25 off when you spend at least £50 on any booking worldwide.
You'll need to pay via Paypal and enter the code PAYPALSTAY25 online at the checkout (click 'Coupon' on the right-hand side of the checkout and a box will appear). The booking must be confirmed by your Airbnb host by Mon 31 Oct and as it can take a couple of days for confirmation, give yourself some leeway. Your stay can be any time before or after this date.

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100.
