When you purchase a drink & show WeDonate membership (sign up's free)

If you're a member of WeDonate (a free platform offering rewards and discounts for donating blood), you can claim a free main meal when you dine in at Bella Italia (find your nearest) and purchase a drink. The offer's valid Sunday to Friday until Friday 6 June.

Who's eligible? WeDonate says you can get this if you've donated blood, plasma or platelets in the past 10 years – it's not just limited to recent/active donors.

You can sign up to WeDonate for free by using an image of your NHS Blood and Transplant card, donor ID number or other national UK blood donor card. Once you've joined, you'll get access to all deals available at WeDonate.

How to get it: Find the 'free' main at Bella Italia offer in the WeDonate app, and generate a unique QR code to show staff at Bella Italia. Remember, to get the free main you'll need to buy a drink.

How good is this deal? A main meal at Bella Italia usually costs £10-£17, and the cheapest drink we could find is a small sparkling mineral water for £2.99 – so you can make a decent saving.

Exclusions: You can't order Full Rack BBQ Ribs as your main meal with this offer, and you can only claim one free main meal once a week until Friday 6 June. Any other food ordered such as starters, sides or desserts will need to be paid for.

If you can't donate blood for whatever reason, here's another way to claim a 'free' main meal at Bella Italia.

When you sign up to the newsletter and purchase an adult main

If you sign up to Bella Italia's newsletter and purchase a main meal from the A La Carte menu, you can get a free main meal when dining in at a restaurant (find your nearest).

In other words, this offer works a bit like a 2for1 deal as you need to purchase one full-priced main meal in order to get the free one. Bella Italia told us this is an ongoing deal with no end date, although we'll update you here if that changes.

A main meal usually costs £10-£17, but this can differ depending on your location. 

How to claim the free main meal

Once you've signed up to the newsletter, you'll be sent a unique code which you'll need to quote to a member of staff when paying. The cheapest main of the two will be deducted from your bill. This deal is limited to a maximum of three codes per table. You'll only have 14 days after signing up to use your code before it expires. 

The offer can't be used alongside any other offer or discount, including Tesco Clubcard vouchers. It's not valid on delivery or takeaway. This is valid at most Bella Italia restaurants, but excludes Center Parcs sites and Milton Keynes on event day.

Via Blue Light Card code

At most Bella Italia restaurants, customers who show a valid Blue Light Card code from Sunday to Friday will get 25% off their total bill.

To get the code, you need to hold a Blue Light Card (£4.99 for two years – see more info), and generate the code from its website or via the app – you can't just show the card.

It's only valid on the total bill for tables of up to six. It can't be used with any other offers, vouchers, or set menus. It's valid at all Bella Italia restaurants, except Center Parcs locations.

And for '£1' on Sun-Wed, 4pm-6pm. When an adult buys a main meal

If you dine in at Bella Italia (find your nearest), little ones can eat for free all day on Thursdays when an adult main is purchased from the 'A La Carte' menu. Kids can also eat for £1 on Sunday to Wednesday 4pm-6pm, again when an adult main meal is purchased.

Bella Italia told us there is no code needed to claim this deal, this is automatically applied to your bill. You can get one free or £1 kids meal for each accompanying adult that buys a main. Kids will be able to get a starter, main, pudding and Cawston pressed juice. Kids meals usually cost between £6.49 and £8.49.

This offer is not available at restaurants within Center Parcs, Edinburgh Northbridge, Milton Keynes Stadium on event days, London Cranbourn St, Irving St, Queensway 110, Queensway 55, St Martins Lane, Strand, South Kensington, Shaftesbury Avenue and Wellington Street. 

This cannot be used alongside any other offer, set menu, voucher or Tesco Clubcard deal, and is a dine-in only offer. There is currently no end date to this deal.

• Tesco Clubcard. You can exchange £2.50 worth of Clubcard vouchers for a £10 Bella Italia token to spend on food (excl drinks).
